Originally I planned for this to be a weight training day with no running. But if I am truly honest about this, my body is tired this morning. It's really good that I acknowledge this. It's progress! My past history is to push anyway. And that has led to injury. I'm not going to do that this time. Besides I weight trained Sunday. I may have to settle for weights once a week during this 1/2 marathon training or at least until my endurance acclimates to the new demands of running so much.
Tomorrow's 4 miles should be much easier after some rest! And I am ALL in for Saturday's 5K regardless of the heat. I''ll have rested today (not scheduled) and Friday (scheduled day off). I can deal with it. lol

You are so smart! I've been paying the price for not listening to my body for almost 2 weeks. This is a fresh new start for me and I intend to listen to my body and not overpush. Enjoy your day of rest. You deserve it. Saturday's race will be fantastic for you. Might seem like a piece of cake after that 6 miler right?
